I tried this recipe for a barbecue I had on Saturday and it was a huge success. I used skirt steak instead and skewered them to make it easier but it was tasty just the same . I'm going to be adding this to my barbecue repertoire !!

I forgot to mention before...I didn't add the 5 spice because 1) I couldn't find it..no time to go to an Asian store and the Indonesian store didn't have it ! and 2) I couldn't believe the quantity..1/4 cup !!??!!
I finally have the 5 spice, but I'm gonna start with 1/4 tsp for 2 lbs of meat and see how it goes from there...

I made this for a barbecue yesterday, it tasted so sweet, just like candy. Maybe it's just a bit too sweet.. it's not as good as i expected to be, cause the judges really liked it and all. But It's still a pretty good dish and it tasted good. You see, SWEET soy sauce, DARK brown SUGAR, Chinese 5 spice which is also sweet in some way. You see how sweet it is? But it tasted delicious though
